Custom Domain Explained

THIS IS AIMED AT UNDERSTANDING WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH A “CUSTOM” DOMAIN.

While we offer free services to our affiliates, based on our domain names, you also have the option to buy your own domain, and use it with any of our services here.

Buying a domain name is simple, fast and cheap. Simply pick the registrar of your choice, and register the domain name you want. Some domain types have restrictions, as to who can register them. The most common example is country based domains such as .de (Germany) and .dk (Denmark) etc.

If you wish to register a country specific domain, it typically requires, that you are a resident in the specific country, or have an organization, in which an employee is a resident. Likewise to register a .eu domain, you must be a citizen of the European Union.

Binary Tech Webworks, can help you register .eu domains, although the domain will remain with our registrar, unless you become eligible to get it transferred.

You are free to choose any registrar you prefer, and you can always contact our support, if you are unsure of something related to making the right choice.

We recommend Hover / eNom, Namecheap or Cloudflare as your registrar. Namecheap in particular has a good control panel, with extended options where you can handle it yourself, without needing help from their support.

With your own domain name, you will make sure that your mail address of choice, or your sub-domain needed, is always available. For example you can have [email protected] for e-mails and have your-domain.com for your personal blog or forum etc.
