- What is Mail Forwarding?
- Mail forwarding is a service, that will forward all mails received, to your real mail address. Useful to hide your real mail address from abuse, or if you just want a new cool mail address.
- What is Mail Relaying?
- While forwarding is provided free of charge from several companies, relaying is hard to come by for free. Relaying is simply put the act of sending mails. Unless you directly subscribe to a “mailbox provider” you will need a relaying service, to use their SMTP server(s) to send your e-mails. Typically this kind of service is paid, since it would otherwise be a target for spammers. Relaying is especially useful to reply to mails, sent to your forwarded address, which you could not otherwise reply to. It’s also useful for sending mass mails or automated mails via your website. We provide free relaying via Amazon’s AWS free of charge to our affiliates.
- Custom Domain Mail Services?
- In addition to using one of our provided domain names for your mail address, you may want to use your own domain name, to really personalize the experience. Like the above, we also provide such a service free of charge. Please note that if you are using Cloudflare to manage the DNS records yourself, they now offer free mail forwarding directly through their servers. You would still need a relaying service however, if you wish to send mails through your mail addresses.
